Me and Colin Thomas at airport, circa 1961. Northern Ireland.

I much preferred airports when the term "take off" referred to something other than your boots and belt! Colin Thomas had been my best friend in Llandudno, and he'd been over to Belfast to stay with us for a short holiday. We would both have been about 22-years-old. Colin Thomas played table tennis for Wales (full international) when he was only about 16-years-old. Like me, he went to John Bright Grammar School, Llandudno. He's a good bloke. Now, was this airport called Aldergrove? I'm not sure ... I'm afraid my memory is failing me. Hope it's not Alzheimers!
